My name is Morgan Wick, and I'm a student of Seattle University in Seattle, Washington.
This user lives in or hails from Seattle. |
I tend to be more of a user of Wikipedia than an actual contributor. Any knowledge I might have on a subject I'm likely to have gleaned from Wikipedia - or at least, they're on Wikipedia already. This is despite the fact that I have a long list of interests. My things tend to involve enforcing policy and general behind-the-scenes workings. Sometimes I will contribute something that reflects actual knowledge, though.
You might call me an ordinary, young, white male, high-school, student, middle class, and living in relative carefree wealth compared to the rest of the developed world. Not a thing to set me apart at all...

Oh yeah. I have this little thing called Asperger Syndrome, which dominates a lot of things I do. What does that mean for you, and me, as Wikipedians? Well, the main issue is my tendency not to get along with other people. I get upset somewhat easily and have a propensity to give unwarranted advice. Sometimes this advice comes across as belligerent. Assume good faith; I'm not against you personally. (Never assume anything else, though.)
This user values third opinions and occasionally provides one. |
The other thing is that I have a lot of interests, and am intensely interested in all of them. Some of my interests include, but are not limited to:
- U.S. History. Probably going to be my main avenue of study in college.
- Sports. Primarily American.
- Writing. Hopefully a future career.
- Computer games. Primarily of the simulation and strategy types. I especially like those games that allow me to imagine a completely different universe.

- Politics. I say throw Bush out now. I also say the Democratic leadership needs a big upheaval. Part of the reason Bush won in 2004 was an easily-manipulated electorate. Another part was alleged fraud. But the Democrats need to take a long look in the mirror. Something is very wrong. If 2004 wasn't a warning, then 2006, if the Republicans retain control of Congress, definitely should be.
- TV in general. What's on? Where's it on? How is "where" changing? This is one of my least pressing interests, but it takes up the most time I spend on Wikipedia, largely because of this.
- Comics.
I have started a blog for your viewing pleasure. Check it out at http://morganwick.blogspot.com. You can also check out my web site at morganwick.freehostia.com.
I have to admit I don't know how to end this page. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page. --07:02, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
