This text attempts to avoid spoilers. The account of Count Magnus De La Gardie is intentionally vague. Septentrionalis 14:34, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Agenda
Confirm that the website is slightly confusing, and Tarzan Triumphant is by Farmer.is by Burroughs.- Wimsey-Collis would be more plausible. Check.
What Farmer suggests is the family Sayers calls Death, and the one Burroughs calls Greystoke, are the same family; and that John Roxton and John Byron Wentworth are the same man, presumably called Lord John Wimsey. Make sure this is clear. Is there evidence that Sayers meant to refer to M. R. James?

Does Doyle actually write "14th Duke"? Septentrionalis 15:01, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Legitimacy and titles
If Lord John Roxton was born out of wedlock, neither any subsequent marriage of his parents nor his adoption would make any difference to his illegitimacy in respect of his right of succession to a Dukedom not in the Peerage of Scotland. He would not, therefore, have the rank of a Duke's son, nor the title "Lord". (This has now changed and adopted children do bear courtesy titles, but the change was only made last year or so.) 195.137.79.247 02:19, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
