Personally, I don't think this article stands a chance of surviving an AfD right now. Maybe better for someone to keep it on a project page or their user page until the game is actually released. dfg 17:22, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Question: Is Unchained a remake of Deception? If so, this article should focus on the differences between Deception and Unchained, and not repeat most of the information already available on the Deception page.Virogtheconq 01:47, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Response...

What is an AfD? There is minimal information available for the page, but as soon as I get more I will add it.

To answer your question, Unchained is not a remake of Deception, but rather the next in the series of portable games. It has all the characters from Deception, just like Tournament Edition was the port version of Deadly Alliance. It shares the same storyline, but isn't the same game.

1. AfD is short for Articles for deletion, and it's the process that starts the ball rolling on an article getting deleted. There is a significant percentage of Wikipedians that dislike fictional minutiae (termed "fancruft") like this, and seek to have it deleted. It's important that we try to provide information, but avoid presenting it in a way that makes it seem unworthy of being in an encyclopedia. If you want more info, just ask. 2. Your description of it makes it sound like a port, then. Therefore I think Virog's suggestion still makes sense. 3. [edit] Returning Kombatants

Any word on what the storyline of the returning Kombatants (such as Blaze), including ones who were merely zombies under Onaga's control (such as Jax), and also ones who were dead throughout Deception (Frost) will be? The S 04:13, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

ContagiousTruth: I'm currently waiting on news from any of the reliable sites on exactly what the storylines will be. They might not have any revealed until the game actually comes out, kind of like what happened with Shao Kahn and Goro in Deception...

Indeed... I just hope they don't do what was done with many characters, where they are saved at the brink of death (such as Kabal and Goro). That's a bit redundant....The S 03:49, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I personally like the whole retcon idea, but I hate the way MK seems to overuse it to keep the storyline going. While the games are good, it makes the story seem desperate and forced. Wasn't Goro buried in Kitana's MK:DA ending?Clint 08:42, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Deception (GC version) said that Goro was brought back from the brink of death by Shao Kahn, and Goro tossed his royal emblem onto a random Shokan soldier. Kind of deus ex machina, if I do say so myself. Hopefully, the clearing of the slate in Armageddon will rid the need of constant retconning further down the series. The S 03:27, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

The whole deal with retconning storylines has seriously gotten old. I hope they come up with a better system for this in the future. I don't know how much life is left in the MK series, because while guys like Scorpion and Sub-Zero are extremely popular and will return, if they are taken too far out of context they might fall apart and the series with them... [edit] Jax's Ending (Spoiler Warning)

Well... possible spoilers. Most of you may probably already know that Jax's Ending for MK:U was oddly viewable at E3 this year, though it's strongly believed that it is still a "concept" Ending and not considered as factual. Here it is for those who didn't catch it.

The Dragon King had defeated us all, save one; Jax. And though I had absorbed the fighting abilities of those who had aided me, I lacked the raw anger that propelled Jax into battle.

Brutally pounding Onaga into submission, Jax finally ended the conflict by embedding a Kamidogu in the would-be ruler's head. Where he summoned so much rage from, I cannot say. I only hope that his anger is finally purged.

Proper Ending portraits were made up for it and everything, so I can't see how this couldn't be the actual version of his Ending, as well as it fitting well with the storyline and not going absurdly off-track. Perhaps being resurrected by Onaga and enslaved provoked his angry side, though the theory that Jax is becoming evil is also credible. I would've given the link to the actual video but the bandwidth limit has exceeded for Total Mortal Kombat right now, so you can search for it later if you wish. Thoughts. Goroliath

Also remember that MK endings are not considered canon until proven in the next game. If they were, then they would contradict each other and the begining of the next game. SilentRage 06:18, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Huh? Are you slow? What are you talking about? We're discussing wether or not he is evil so we can edit it into the article. We aren't arguing or anything. o0 ---SilentRAGE! 18:04, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
SilentRage, don't bite the newbies. Asking someone if they're slow isn't really needed (or helpful). EVula 19:20, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
