Well, I tried rewriting the "Utopian Moral Economies" section to make it a little less POV, though it still needs work. What does everyone think? -- User:Brodie, 21/08/05

[edit] Kibbutz as moral economy
Given what I've read about the relationship between Kibbutzes and surrounding Palestinian populations, even in their golden age, the suggestion that they were somehow a moral economy seems to be seriously lacking in...moral consistency.
[edit] Re: Kibbutz as moral economy
I think kibbitz could be loosely defined under the heading 'moral economy' because of their intention to run their economies on a 'moral' basis (i.e. based around religious ethics rather than on neoclassical economics). That's not to saw they were 'moral' by our standards any more than Soviet collectivization. User: 15:07, 14 June 2007 (UTC) Brodie
