Morven Christie (born c. 1979) is a Scottish actress. Christie received mixed reviews for her role in Romeo and Juliet with the Royal Shakespeare Company. The Stage called her both "delightfully giggly" and "lack[ing] the grand passion to persuade [the audience] of her unhinging love."[1]
Paul Taylor in The Independent said "Morven Christie's dark-maned slip of a Juliet projects humour, intelligence, warmth and the sense of a girl who knows her own mind. The character's progress into a deeper self-awareness is beautifully charted and there's a piercing pathos in those scenes where, having surpassed her parents in emotional maturity, she attempts to reason them out of their insensitive folly.[2]
She appears in two forthcoming ITV series Monday Monday and Lost In Austen.
