Morten Nicolas Rasmussen (born January 31, 1985) is a Danish professional football (soccer) player, currently playing for Brøndby IF in Denmark. His position as a forward and his heading strength has earned him the nickname of "Duncan", in honor of Scottish footballer Duncan Ferguson. He has scored 37 goals in 60 matches for various Denmark national youth sides, most recently the Denmark under-21 national team, and in May 2006, he was selected to represent Denmark at the 2006 European Under-21 Championship.
Duncan started his career in the youth scheme of top-flight club AGF, where his talent was recognized as he made his debut for the Danish under-16 national team in 2001. He made his senior debut for AGF in May 2002, in the Danish Superliga championship, but played only two games and scored one goal in his first senior season. After scoring 17 goals in 19 matches for the under-17 national team, he moved into the under-19 national team squad in September 2002, still aged 17. Following 6 goals in 11 matches for the under-19 team, he was awarded 2003 Danish under-19 Player of the Year.
After meagre goalscoring in his first three full seasons for AGF, the 2005-06 season became his national breakthrough, when he scored 10 goals in 19 games during the first half of the season. Following a total of 28 goals in 103 Superliga matches for AGF, Duncan left the club in January 2006 as he was bought by the defending Superliga champions Brøndby IF, on a five-year contract. With a price tag of 10 million DKK, he was bought to replace striker Morten Skoubo who had recently been sold to Spanish club Real Sociedad. His start at Brøndby was marked by injury, and in the remaining half of the season, he scored a single goal in only 6 matches.
In the spring-season 2007 Duncan scored 10 goals in just 8 games.
