Morrnah Simeona

Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona (1913-1992) was a Hawaiian kahuna la'au lapa'au or healing priest and practitioner of lomilomi massage best known for teaching her updated version of ho'oponopono. (Vitale) Her mother, Lilia, was one of the last kahuna la'au kahea or priest who heals with words. (Rodman: 195)

Morrnah was named a "Living Treasure of Hawai'i" by the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawai'i in 1983. That same year she presented programs on ho'oponopono to the United Nations in New York City. (Chai:53)

She founded The Foundation of I which continues today to teach her principles.
