Morris McHone
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Morris (Mo) McHone is a former professional basketball coach. He served as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs for several seasons under coach Stan Albeck, replacing him in 1983 when Albeck took a job with the New Jersey Nets. However, McHone only lasted 31 games, and was fired midway through the season after posting a 11-20 record. He was replaced by then-GM Bob Bass.
McHone would later coach for several teams in the Continental Basketball Association, and would also serve as head coach of the United States Men's National Basketball Team for several stints.
The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced on August 3rd, 2006 that McHone will return for the 2006-07 season.
More recently, he was named Director of Basketball Operations for the Austin Toros of the NBA Developmental League.[1]
