Morris Lukowich

Morris Eugene Lukowich (born June 1, 1956 in Speers, Saskatchewan) was a member of the Winnipeg Jets in the World Hockey Association (WHA) and the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1976 to 1987. Playing left wing, he recorded a total of 582 games, registering 199 goals and 219 assists to total 418 points in 10 NHL seasons.

Lukowich was the team captain of the Winnipeg Jets during the 1980–1981 NHL season. He recorded his best season in 1981–1982 scoring 43 goals and 49 assists for a total of 92 points and 102 penalty minutes. Lukowich was traded on February 4, 1985 to the Boston Bruins for Jim Nill, and went on to play with the Bruins and the Los Angeles Kings before finishing his NHL career.

Lukowich is the younger brother curling great Ed Lukowich. He is also cousin of fellow NHLers Bernie Lukowich and Brad Lukowich.
