Morre Negro

Morre Negro (Capeverdean Crioulo forms of ALUPEC or ALUPEK: Morri Negro, also in the São Vicente) is a point located in the west of the island of Boa Vista and it represents the island's easternmost point in Cape Verde. A small islet to the northeast is Cape Verde's easternmost point. Distance is approximately 40 km east-southeast of the island capital of Sal Rei, approximately 10 km east-southeast of its nearest village Norte and around 15 km northeast of Estancia de Baixo with a remote road. The point features a lighthouse.

The point are surrounded by rocky ledges with beach sand. The area around the point are flat and hilly to the south. The Praia das Gatas lies to the north.

Its panorama does not offer as much views but it can offer views of the Atlantic Ocean as well as some parts of the northern and the southern parts of the vicinity. It also offers a view of a tiny islet.
