Moriah (Hebrew: מוריה) was a short-lived one man political party in Israel in the early 1990s.
[edit] Background
The party was formed during the 12th Knesset when Minister of Immigrant Absorption and former Chief Rabbi of Ra'anana Yitzhak Peretz Haim broke away from Shas to form his own Knesset faction. When Yitzhak Shamir formed a new coalition government in 1990, Moriah joined, and Peretz Haim was reappointed to his Ministerial position.
The party ceased to exist when the 12th Knesset was dissolved in 1992. Peretz Haim ran on the United Torah Judaism list for the 1992 elections, and retained his seat. However, he resigned from the Knesset less than a month after being re-elected.
