Mori Yoshinari

Mori Yoshinari (森可成? 1523-1570) was a head retainer under the service of Oda Nobunaga during the late Sengoku period of Feudal Japan. Serving under Saitō Dōsan and his rulership over Mino Province up until the year of 1555--the time at which Dōsan was betrayed by his son, Yoshitatsu--Yoshinari presently followed in serving under the Oda, bringing with him his two sons: Mori Nagayoshi and the famous Ranmaru. Regarded with great consideration for offering his son, Ranmaru, to be the head page under Nobunaga, Yoshinari was frequently granted rank and thus willingly supported his new lord within variable conflicts following the period at which he began his assistance to the Oda. Most notably honored for his great display of ability, during the Battle of Anegawa in 1570, Yoshinari would unfortunately suffer death by the hands of the Azai and Asakura alliance, who penetrated Otsu Province a month or two into the future, additionally claiming the life of many other soldiers and Nobunaga's younger brother, Nobuharu.

In Koei's Kessen III video game, Yoshinari is depicted as a man of around 50 years of age, at which he supports you--Oda Nobunaga--as one of their very few beginning generals assisting against the cause of Imagawa Yoshimoto.
