[edit] Personal life
York was born in Burbank, California. She has two siblings, Wendy (born 1995) and Thomas (born 1999.) York lived in Studio City until her family's move to New York City in 1997, where they lived until 2000. She currently lives in Sherman Oaks, California. In her spare time, York likes to play video games, read, and perform creative dramatics. She is also a writer who experiments with poetry, plays, screenplays and is currently working on her first book.[1]

York appeared in a ThermoScan Ear Thermometer commercial during her early years, but did not act again until her role in the 2003 film, Cheaper by the Dozen, which was a big success at the box office. In 2004, she appeared in episodes of the television shows, The Practice and Life with Bonnie.
In 2005, York co-starred in The Pacifier, playing one of a family protected by Vin Diesel's character, and in Cheaper by the Dozen 2; both of the films did well at the box office, raising York's profile among pre-teen audiences.
In 2006, Morgan began a 9 episode stint as Sarah, an animal loving nature girl on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, after which she became friends with Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, and Mitchel Musso.
York is currently in contract to film more upcoming Hannah Montana episodes in the new season.
