Morgan Stone Corinthos is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital He is the son of Carly Corinthos and Michael "Sonny" Corinthos Jr. He is currently portrayed by George Juarez.

[edit] Fictional History
[edit] Events Before Birth
When Morgan's mother, Carly Corinthos, was pregnant with him she was kidnapped first by his uncle, Ric Lansing (who intended to raise Carly's baby as his own when his wife miscarried ) and then by rival mob boss, Lorenzo Alcazar who told Sonny he would release Carly only after Sonny agreed he could transport drugs though the Corinthos' territories. Sonny agreed but he didn't want to wait for them to release Carly so he rescued her himself. But by then Alcazar had become obsessed with Carly and tried to gain her affection (even though she was already married to Sonny). He realized the only way he could get her was if Sonny was out of the way, so he paid a prostitute to dress like Sonny's 1st dead wife, Lily. "Lily" haunted Sonny and convinced him that his wife and sons would not be safe with him. So Sonny bought Carly her dream house that she could live in with the kids. On the night that Carly went over to see the place alone, "Lily" slipped up and Sonny realized the plan and raced to the house to rescue Carly.

While at the house, Carly fell down the stairs, which induced labor. Lorenzo found Carly lying on the floor in labor and started to help her deliver her baby. Sonny was outside the house when he heard Carly's screams and ran in to find Carly on the floor with Lorenzo standing over her. Sonny, not knowing what was happening, shot Lorenzo in the chest but the bullet went through Lorenzo into Carly's head. Carly was able to give birth to her son before she slipped into a coma. He was named Morgan Stone Corinthos in honor of Sonny's best friend, Jason Morgan, and Sonny's good friend who had died from AIDS, Stone Cates.
[edit] Kidnapping
Carly remained in a coma for a little while so Morgan bonded with his father and older brother, Michael, first. Unlike some older siblings, Michael was thrilled to be a big brother and treated Morgan wonderfully. However Carly and Sonny had many on again, off again marriages and fought for custody of the boys each time. In 2005, Morgan, Michael, and his half sister, Kristina, were kidnapped by Faith Roscoe who was working for AJ Quartermaine (Michael's biological father who was forced to sign away his rights to him). Morgan and Kristina were found in an airport and reunited with their family. But his older brother, his playmate, protector, and friend was still missing. When a picture a Michael suposedly dead in a wood chipper was mailed to the Corinthos', all of Port Charles believed him dead except for Carly who still felt in her heart that her son was still alive. Carly would have broken down and wallowed in despair but she stayed strong for Morgan who still needed his mother. Carly was right however, Michael was not dead. He was being held by AJ who tried to leave the country and live with his son under different names. However AJ's father, Alan, who initionally helped him saw how violent he could be and told Jason his whereabouts. Michael was rescued however he was not the same child. He was quiet and withdrawn from everyone, even Morgan. Michael was able to move on through the ordeal and returned back to a normal child.

Morgan lives primarily with Carly, Michael, and his step-father, Jasper Jacks. Michael and himself stay with Sonny sometimes, however this hasen't been recently because Sonny has been away on business. He almost drowned trying to retrieve a ball from a pond but was rescued by Sonny's neighbor, Kate Howard.
He and Michael seem to be inseperable. Michael is like his best friend and confident who always watches out for Morgan. Morgan seemes to immitate whatever Michael does which is starting to be a bad thing because Michael is turning into "a mini mobster." Sonny has told Michael to look after Morgan and especially since the death of their nanny, Leticia, and aunt Emily to show Morgan that life is fun and not scary. Michael is starting to become his own person however and not wanting to do as much with Morgan as before however it is unknown how Morgan feels about this.
[edit] Loss of Michael
The instability of their upbringing changed Michael. He no longer was an innocent little boy. He was growing into a pre-teen who believed that cops were bad and rules and laws didn't apply to him because they didn't apply to people like Sonny and Jason. After Michael bought a gun and accidently shot Kate Howard, his parents decided a serious intervention needed to happen. Sonny decided that Michael needed to see that his business was about more than just violence so he took Michael to the warehouse so he could watch a shipment being unloaded. He also told the guards not to come so that Michael would be less associated with the lifestyle. Michael was shot in the head that night by Dr.Ian Devlin who was hired by Claudia Zaccharra and Jerry Jacks to shoot Sonny.
Michael was rushed to the hospital where Dr.Patrick Drake removed the bullet from his brain. After the operation tests confirmed that the bullet had put Michael in a permanent coma and that he would never wake up. Carly wouldn't believe it and she spent days at Michael's bedside and Sonny was beside himself with grief causing Morgan to be raised primarily by Mercedes and his grandmother, Bobbie for a short time.
Morgan became confused with his mother and brother gone. He was caught by Jacks calling the hospital asking to speak to Michael. Jacks convinced Carly to come home and spend some time with Morgan. She told Morgan that Michael was hurt very badly and that he needed time to rest. A week later when it became certain that Michael wasen't going to wake up, Carly insisted Michael come home and she would care for him there. After getting Michael settled, Carly told Morgan that Michael was still hurt very badly and that he had to sleep a lot so he could have time to heal but that when he woke up he would play with Morgan. Morgan acted as if he understood, but later on the first day Michael was home Morgan was caught skaking Michael trying to get him to wake up. It was then that Carly realized Michael couldn't stay at home because it was hurting Morgan to badly so Carly and Sonny agreed to move Michael to a care center in Manhatten.
The loss of Michael made Carly and even Jason realize that they robbed Michael of a normal childhood as well as his life. Riddled with guilt about the fact that Michael would have to spend the rest of his life in a hospital bed, Carly realized she had to make things different with Morgan. She couldn't imagine losing Morgan like she had lost Michael. She begged Sonny to give her full rights to Morgan saying that Morgan would be safer not being around Sonny and it would give him the chance to have a normal childhood, something that Michael didn't have. Sonny refused to give up Morgan saying that it hurt him to lose Michael and he couldn't imagine losing Morgan or Kristina.
Carly fears for Morgans safety and has decided that the only way she can protect him is to go on the run, away from Sonny
