Morgan Morgan-Giles

Rear-Admiral Morgan Charles Morgan-Giles (born 19 June 1914) is a British Conservative Party politician.
Morgan-Giles was educated at Clifton College and joined the Royal Navy. He commanded HMS Vigilant, Vernon 1959-60 and HMS Belfast 1961-62. He was President of the Royal Naval College, Greenwich 1962-64. He had farming interests in Hampshire and New South Wales.
Retiring from the Navy in 1964, Morgan-Giles was elected a Member of Parliament at the Winchester by-election in the same year. He served until 1979, when he stood down and was succeeded by John Browne.
