Morgan's Grant (pop. 8,000) is a small suburban neighbourhood located in Kanata, north of the Kanata North Business Park. It is found on both sides of the northern section of March Road, and north of Terry Fox Drive. Extensive developments are underway here, for this small section of Ottawa is relatively new and under-developed.
Morgan's Grant has several recreational pathways, a number of playgrounds, three elementary schools (including a french one), and a variety of services. The shopping plaza features a corner store, walk-in clinic, dental office, and a selection of restaurants.
[edit] History
The modern Morgan's Grant was originally part of the Township of March, and was first settled by Europeans in the early nineteenth century. Since then, it underwent many developments to become what it is today.
