Noted international mixologist (DJ/Producer/Musician) Junkie XL is pushing out a new single entitled "More" in conjunction with EA's Need For Speed: ProStreet videogame. The song features singer Lauren Rocket from Rocket (band).
Tom Holkenberg (JXL's legal alter ego) is no stranger to the Need For Speed franchise. The earliest connection with the game is having four tracks from the album Saturday Teenage Kick used in Need for Speed: High Stakes.
While Need For Speed: ProStreet won't be released until November 14, 2007, Junkie XL's single will be made available via a digital downloadable EP on September 25.
The More EP will be released through the Artwerk label, a joint venture of EA and Nettwerk Music Group. The EP will contain the original song, which features Lauren Rocket on vocals. There will also be three different mixes of the track including the "Junk O Rock Remix," "Junk O Punk Remix," and "Junk O Flamenco Remix." Also included is the b-side track, "Clash," which originally appeared on EA's monster FIFA 08 TM game.
The More EP serves as a lead-up to Junkie XL's upcoming full-length album, Booming Back at You, which is scheduled for a February 2008.[1]
