Moran is an unincorporated town in Owen Township, Clinton County, Indiana. Originally a railroad town, Moran was named for an official of the Vandalia Road. The official, who was from Sedalia, Illinois, also suggested the name of the nearby town of Sedalia, Indiana.[3]
