Morag Murray Abdullah

Morag Murray Abdullah was the pen name of the Scottish writer Saira Elizabeth L. Shah. Her works include the autobiographical works My Khyber Marriage and Valley of the Giant Buddhas and the paper The Kaif System (in New Research on Current Philosophical Systems, London: Octagon Press, 1968) [1]. She was married to Afghan author Sirdar Ikbal Ali Shah and was the mother of Sufi writers and translators Idries Shah, Omar Ali-Shah and Amina Shah. She is buried next to her husband in Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey.
