Morón is a city in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires, capital of the Morón Partido, located in the Gran Buenos Aires metropolitan area, at , easily reached via bus and the TBA railway lines (Train Buenos Aires) from the Buenos Aires centre.
The city, which was originally settled in the 1500s, has a large population of Italian descent; hence Italy maintains a consulate in the city. It also has a small Jewish community.
Among the most notable attractions in Morón are the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje, seat of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Morón and National Aeronautics Museum (Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica) of the Argentine Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Argentina).
The Universidad de Morón is also located in the city.
