Mopungchuket is an Ao village in Mokokchung District in the state of Nagaland in India.
The village is associated with legends such as the romantic story of Jina and Etiben, called the Romeo and Juliet of the Ao Naga tribes. A tower commemorating this story is a prominent feature of the village.
At the vicinity of the village is a lake with boating facility and guesthouse. Time-Pillar, village museum, morungs and monuments are worth visiting. It was the location where the Ahoms decided to retreat after a failed attempt to attack the village.
Impur, the headquarters and the mission centre of Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM), is located just next to the village. Mopungchuket is about 15 km from the heart of the town of Mokokchung. The nearest railway stations are at Amguri and Mariani.
