[edit] Sequels

Wanted: Monty Mole spawned four sequels. These are Monty is Innocent (1985), Monty on the Run (1986), Auf Wiedersehen Monty (1987) and Impossamole (1990).(2001).

One special version was the 1987 Moley Christmas that was only published as a cover tape on Your Sinclair.[1]

[edit] Trivia

  • The game's loading-screen contains what appears to be a caricature of the then-miners' union leader Arthur Scargill. There is also a reference in the game's documentation to the final screen containing "King Arthur" sitting on his throne.
  • The tune that plays when Monty loses a life is the background music to the beginning of the Ripping Yarns episode: The Testing of Eric Olthwaite.
