[edit] Talk pages
While your efforts on Talk:Objects from The Lost Room do make the page look neater, they go against talk page guidelines. This is future advice. Comments on talk pages go in chronological order. New sections go at the bottom and so on. By moving the sections about as you have, no one knows where the conversation began. I've reset is to a point before most of your refactoring, so please don't do it again. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:51, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- I realize you put a lot of work into that and I'm sorry to have had to undo it, but when you organize things in that manner no one knows where the latest questions arise. Things that might have been posted a week ago end up near the bottom while things started the same day end up near the top. It makes it difficult for arriving editors to find issues that haven't been addressed. Read the talk header I added for a simple recommendation. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:05, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

- The thing about discussion pages is that they're not supposed to be reformatted. Comments spaced for clarity, topics archived when the page gets too big, sure, but rearranging them no. If you need to, shove all the old comments on an archive (see WP:ARCHIVE) to make the current conversation clearer. Talk pages exist to answer questions people have about the article. Even when they're a mess, people will look to the bottom for the most recent discussions. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:39, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

- It's frowned upon to remove sections unless you're the only one to comment in them. Removing others' comments isn't allowed unless they're being shuffled to an archive. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:53, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
