[edit] Super Mario Bros RPG and Super Mario Bros 3
What about the moles theres? In the former they've got a mining/tourist city and in the later they shoot wrenches...Undead Herle King 13:35, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- The moles you're thinking about in the mining town in SMRPG were just regular moles. No relation. I do think the mole-like creatures who pop their heads out of the ground and throw wrenches at Mario/Luigi in Super Mario Bros. 3 to be Monty Moles, but I'm not sure. - Nevermind, the characters in SMB3 are Rocky Wrenches. Drumpler 05:14, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well I still don't see why they wouldn't be related, but the official point of nintendo at this is what is necessary...Undead Herle King 21:08, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Monty Mole
Although you are correct in establishing the character is from the famous Peter Harrap games, the page is unduly biased favouring the Mario mole characters, which is not relevant to the character "Monty Mole"
Also is may be worth noting that Playhouse Disney have a toy character 'Monty Mole' with their presenters, although the Disney version is without a monacle.
- This would probably be best for a disambiguation page. The characters in the Mario series are likewise known as "Monty Mole" and both are notable enough for their own Wikipedia article. Drumpler 05:02, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Super Mario Strikers Charged
I'm well aware that the game has a European release. However, the citation tag should remain until you properly a) cite the game b) cite a manual, official player's guide or other source of official information. I don't know how to cite games properly, so I think b) is the only correct option. Whether or not its true, its still not properly cited. Drumpler 07:13, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- And don't get me wrong. Its not just this game. Several sections on this article need several such tags. Ideally, every sentence should be cited. Drumpler 07:14, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge
I support the merge because IMO, Monty Mole is such a trivial character to have its own page. At the very least, the article needs to be moved and a disambiguation page created in this place linking to articles which fall under similar terms -- "Monty Mole" isn't a Mario-centric term by any stretch of the imagination.
