I'm not sure the right way to address this (or I would have already tried to fix it), but it seems to me that we need a better way of handling the discussion of Monthly Meeting vs. Friends Church. To me currently this article feels like we're biasing it toward the unprogrammed tradition unintentionally. I wonder if it might make sense to just state clearly that MM's are generally only refered to within that tradition, and have other space devoted to handling FC's? --Ahc 23:54, 22 August 2005 (UTC)

• I think your point is valid, although not a major issue in my mind. Perhaps a cross-link to the Evangelical Friends article would provide the counter-balance. It's a historical fact that Monthly Meeting is the traditional term. Logophile 08:29, 23 August 2005 (UTC)

Am I right in my understanding that a Friends Church is likely to be a self-governing entity, whereas a Preparative/Local Meeting is not "Congregationalist", but must bow to the decisions of the Monthly/Area Meeting and its financial and pastoral oversight.
