[edit] Notability?

Re rv of prod: I couldn't find anything at Wikipedia:Notability that supports keeping this, especially an unsourced article that does not indicate any notability. Wikipedia:OUTCOMES#Places notes that these articles are usually deleted. -- Jeandré, 2008-01-18t13:49z

Sorry, but I can't see where Wikipedia:OUTCOMES#Places says that. It says "Larger neighborhoods are acceptable, but its name must have verifiable widespread usage". A quick Google search or Google Books search will verify that the name has widespread usage. If you want to discuss this further then the place to do it is at WP:AFD. This article should not be deleted, the suburb is often cited in Irish literature as representing a certain type of good-natured, middle-class conservatism. People coming upon these references will expect this encyclopedia to explain a little about the place. --Jaimehy (talk) 21:01, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
