Petar II Petrović-Njegoš (Serbian Cyrillic: Петар II Петровић-Његош) (13 November (November 1 Old Style), 1813 - 31 October (October 19 Old Style), 1851) was the ruler of Montenegro and the Eastern Orthodox Cetinje Episcop (Serbian: Владика). He made Montenegro a secular state and is considered by many to be among the greatest Serbian and Montenegrin poets.
