Monty Are I (formerly known as Monty's Fan Club and Monty) is an American post-hardcore band from Cranston, Rhode Island. Monty recently won Takeover Records' Sign My Band contest on MySpace [1], but ended up signing to Stolen Transmission records, an imprint label of Island Records. They also won the Ernie Ball sponsored Battle of the Bands in 2003. [1]

Monty has many national tours under their belt, including three years on Vans Warped Tour, and tours with Just Surrender, Secondhand Serenade, Amber Pacific, Anberlin, Powerspace, Rx Bandits, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year, Sum41, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.[2]

Monty are I's song "In this Legacy" is featured in Xbox/PS2 games: ATV Offroad Fury 4 and Tony Hawk's Project 8.

Monty Are I debuted their music video for "Between The Sheets" on August 14th, 2007. The band is currently in the process of writing and recording their sophomore full-length.

Monty Are I used to be called Monty's Fan Club and is named after Cranston High School West's band instructor.
