Montt family

The Montt family of Chile became politically influential during the 19th century, and played a very significant role in Chilean politics. Its most prominent members were the children and descendants of Catalan immigrants, notable in their time:
- Manuel Montt (1809-1880), politician and President of Chile
- Rosario Montt, First Lady of Chile
- Julio Montt (1861-1882), soldier and hero of the War of the Pacific
- Jorge Montt (1847-1922), Admiral, politician and President of Chile
- Leonor Frederick de Montt, First Lady of Chile

- Sara del Campo de Montt, First Lady of Chile
- Teresa Wilms Montt (1893-1921), poetess
- Christina Montt (1895-1969), early movie actress
