Montreal Canadiens Centennial Year

The Montreal Canadiens Centennial will be taking place during the 2008–09 NHL season, celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the NHL's most successful and historic franchise, the Montreal Canadiens. Events that are to take place in Montreal for the 2008–09 NHL Season in celebration with the Montreal Canadiens Centennial Year will be the 2009 NHL All-Star Game and the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Furthermore, at least one other number will be retired and talk have begun regarding hosting an outdoor NHL game at Percival Molson Stadium of McGill University.
On April 5th, 2008 the logo for the 2009 NHL All-Star Game was unveiled in Montreal. [1]
