The Montmorency Football club is located in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The club's home ground is the North Oval of Montmorency park, Montmorency. The teams nickname is the Magpies and Jumper despign is White with Black stripes similar to that worn by Collingwood
The club was formed in 1924 by Harold Hodgson and was original based at Memorial park, Greensborough. In 1925 the club relocated to its current home and joined the Diamond Valley Football League where it compteted until folding in 1931. The Club was revived in 1936 returning the DVFL where it has remained. The club won its first premership in 1951 which soon backed up by a second premership in 1954. It was then another 22 years before the club won its third premership in 1976. After grand final defeats in 1977 and 1978 the clubs its fourth and most recent A Grade premership in 1979. In 2007 the Diamod Valley Football League was renamed the Northern Football League
