Montgomery County Public Schools

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is a school district that serves Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. It is currently the largest school district in Maryland serving over 137,000 students.

Students in the district score among the top in the United States on Advanced Placement examinations. The current superintendent is Dr. Jerry Weast. As of the 2006-2007 school year, the district had 9,444 FTE teachers serving 137,798 students at 199 schools. The county is the 17th largest in the country.
