The Monteverdi Hai 450 SS is an automobile that came about in 1970 when Peter Monteverdi wanted to create a sports car. He made it no secret that he designed and built the car for himself, but he did sell them to those who could afford its massive price. The engine was mounted in a mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive layout [1]. The Mercedes C111 is the inspiration to Peter Monteverdi make this super midengined car. The English for 'Haifisch' is shark.
