The Montenegro national basketball team represents Montenegro in international basketball tournaments. It is organized by the Basketball Federation of Montenegro (Košarkaški Savez Crne Gore, KSCG), which is the governing body of basketball in Montenegro. This team competes in the European region of FIBA.

It was founded in 1948 as a part of the larger Yugoslavia national basketball team. In 2003, it became part of Serbia and Montenegro's basketball team. In 2006, the Basketball Federation of Montenegro along with this team joined the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) on its own following the Independence of Montenegro.
The Montenegrin national team will enter international competition in 2009[2], but has already appointed Duško Vujošević as the national coach. Vujošević was a coach of the Serbia and Montenegro national team (2003), and has won 6 championship titles with his current team Partizan Belgrade. Vujošević also won the Adriatic League in 2006/07 with Partizan Belgrade.
On July 7, 2007, the Basketball Federation of Montenegro presented to FIBA a list of eligible players for the Montenegro National Team:[3]
