RTCG chose the Montenegrin entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with help from public votes.
During a special show that aired on RTCG, called MontenegroSong 2008, with a new National Final model, six candidates were presented, out of which Stefan Filipović was selected via televoting as the entrant.
The song which he performed was chosen internally by a 30-member jury appointed by RTCG. The song's title is "Zauvijek volim te" (I love you for eternity), and it was made by a team of Macedonian musicians - Grigor Koprov (author), Ognen Nedelkovski (composer) and Vladimir Dojčinovski (arranger), the same trio that created the Macedonian entry in 2007 - Mojot Svet. An English version of the song is also recorded, under the title "Never forget that I love you". The song was presented on Saturday, March 8th.
It went on to represent Montenegro at the first semi-final of Eurovision 2008 on 20 May 2008, in Belgrade. However, the entry failed to achieve enough votes in order to qualify for the final of the contest.
