Montecarotto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ancona in the Italian region Marche, located about 40 km west of Ancona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,163 and an area of 24.1 km².[1]
Montecarotto borders the following municipalities: Arcevia, Belvedere Ostrense, Ostra, Ostra Vetere, Poggio San Marcello, Rosora, Serra de' Conti.
