Monte di Procida is a small comune (municipality) in the Province of Naples in the Italian region Campania, located about 15 km west of Naples. Monte Di Procida also harbors a small island of San Martino Once Occupied by the Germans during WWII. This is where they kept lookout on the "Torre" that faced out to sea and was a great visual from all nautical points; ammunitions where also stored there. It is located in a small bay called Baia dei Porci and Acquamorta. Polpo (Octopus) is the favored catch of the sea. Esposito,Scotto, and Schiano (and their variations i.e. Scotto di Cesare or Schiano Lomoriello) are the most common lastnames in the area. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 13,282 and an area of 3.6 km².[1]

Monte di Procida borders the following municipalities: Bacoli.
