Monte Nitzkowski

Monte Nitzkowski is a former Olympic swimmer and water polo coach. He represented the United States in the 200-meter butterfly at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, where he came eleventh.[1] Nitzkowski acted as assistant United States water polo coach at the 1968 Olympics and was appointed head coach for the 1972, 1980 and 1984 games.[2]
Nitzkowski was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1991.[3]
