Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra

The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra (French: Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo) is the main orchestra in the principality of Monaco. It was founded in 1856.
Since 2000, its principal conductor has been Marek Janowski. Janowski is scheduled to step down from this post in 2009. In October 2007, Yakov Kreizberg was named the orchestra's next principal conductor, effective September 2009, for an initial contract of 5 years.[1]
