Montaldo Bormida is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 km southeast of Turin and about 25 km south of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 676 and an area of 5.6 km².[1]

Montaldo Bormida borders the following municipalities: Carpeneto, Orsara Bormida, Rivalta Bormida, Sezzadio, and Trisobbio.
