Montague (VTA)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Montague is a light rail station operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). This station is served by VTA's Alum Rock-Santa Teresa line.

Montague station is being considered as a possible future transfer point between between Bay Area Rapid Transit and light rail as part of the BART to Milpitas, San Jose, and Santa Clara project. This project, if completed, will extend BART south from its current terminus in Fremont, California. Due to cost-cutting measures, Montague may actually function as the line's terminus for some time, until funding is found for the controversial tunneling project planned to extend BART to downtown San Jose.
