Montafia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 25 km southeast of Turin and about 15 km northwest of Asti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 986 and an area of 14.6 km².[1]
Montafia borders the following municipalities: Buttigliera d'Asti, Capriglio, Cortazzone, Piea, Piovà Massaia, Roatto, San Paolo Solbrito, Viale, and Villanova d'Asti.
