Monrupino (in Slovenian Repentabor) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Trieste in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 9 km north of Trieste, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 848 and an area of 12.7 km².[1] According to the 1971 census, 77,3% of the population are Slovenes
The municipality of Monrupino contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Fernetti-Fernetiči, Col, Repen.
Monrupino borders the following municipalities: Sežana (Slovenia), Sgonico, Trieste.
