Monroe Township is one of twenty-three townships in Benton County, Iowa, USA. At the 2000 census, its population was 259.

Monroe Township covers an area of 36.31 square miles and contains no incorporated settlements. According to the USGS, it contains four cemeteries: Gnagy, Ramthun, Saint Joseph and Urmy.
