Monou District, Miyagi

Monou (桃生郡; -gun) was a district located in Miyagi, Japan.

As of 2005, this district no longer exists.

• On April 1, 2005, the towns of Yamoto and Naruse merged to form Higashimatsushima City
• On April 1, 2005, the towns of Kahoku, Kanan, Kitakami, Monou, and Ogatsu merged with the town of Oshika from Oshika District and Ishinomaki City to form a larger new Ishinomaki City.
