Monophonic

Monophonic can mean:
- In recorded audio, a monaural recording with only one channel. Compare: stereophonic (binaural), quadraphonic.
- In musical texture, monophony.
- In synthesizers, monophonic refers to the capability of sounding only one voice, or note, at a time. Compare: duophonic, polyphonic.
