Mono (Fanzine)

mono (always all lower case) is the underground Bradford music fanzine whose remit is alternative/independent Rock. mono was invented to celebrate / promote / coordinate the city's music scene. The fanzine is published on the 1st of every month, usually with a limited run of 1000 copies and is free. mono have also helped launch BD1 Live in Bradford, a monthly gig featuring 4 bands at St.Georges hall. Duels (band) headlined the launch night on 25/5/7, with support from Analog Bombs, Monty Casino and Laura Groves. The second night on 28/6/07 is headlined by iLiKETRAiNS with Falconetti, worriedaboutsatan and Laboratory Noise supporting. Mono released an 18 track compilation CD, Escape from monotony, in conjunction with their December 2006 issue. The CD featured 18 different bands from around Bradford such as This Et Al, Threads, Falconetti, Wilful Missing, James Dey and various others.

From May 2007 mono took the decision to publish bimonthly.
