Monkton, Pembroke
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Monkton is a village in Wales. The road leading west from Pembroke, Pembrokeshire leads through the older village of Monkton, which has now been amalgamated with the main town.
Monkton has a primary school, and a derelict priory from which Monkton itself gets its name. The long-defunct railway station is home to the St Govan's Youth Choir. There is one public house, the Priory Inn.
To the north of Monkton are the Monkton Marshes, a well known region for observing migratory birds, especially ducks.
