Monks’ Dyke Technology College is a comprehensive secondary modern school situated in the rural market town of Louth, Lincolnshire on Monks Dyke Road. The current Head teacher is Dr Chris Rolph and there are 65 staff and 13 support staff Currently there are 1060 students on role, with 100 students in the sixth form.

[edit] Specialist Status
In 1995 Monks' Dyke Technology College was designated a Technology College. This means that they demonstrate commitment to using Technology to enhance all subject areas. To raise standards at all levels in the school they were given clear targets to meet, and must play an important role working with other schools and groups in the local community. Monks' Dyke Technology College said, "We believe that this enriches the students' curriculum and gives them opportunities that are not available to students in non-specialist schools."
In 2005 Monks' Dyke Technology College were identified by the government as a High Performing Specialist School, one of only 100 in the country, and were awarded Training School Status. This means that they could build on there work with other schools and the community by training teachers and other staff. In addition the school received extra funding which "is used for the benefit of our students."
In 2007 because of there continual high performance they were awarded a third specialism: Vocational School Status. This is highly unusual and recognises Monks' Dyke's contributions to the education of students across the area. As a Vocational school they will be able to increase there training brief to include skills required for vocational subjects. this will enable them to include more vocational subjects within the school curriculum giving Monks' Dyke Technology College students even more opportunities.
