Monica Horgan is a voice actress and writer and is remembered by fans of the Silent Hill game series for her dual role as Mary/Maria in Silent Hill 2 and the spinoff minigame, Born From a Wish. Horgan co-starred in Silent Hill 2, but took on the lead role in Born From a Wish.

As Mary/Maria, Horgan displayed impressive range, portraying Maria as a mercurial creature, seductive and in control one moment, terrified and clingy the next, while bringing some very raw emotion to the terminally ill Mary, a gentle, loving woman who becomes increasingly frantic and angry as she is dying. Horgan performed the motion capture for both Mary and Maria, and the characters were designed to look like her.

Shortly after the making of SH2, Horgan moved from Tokyo to London, England where she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and King's College obtaining her Master's Degree in Performance Studies and English. She moved to Kauai, Hawaii in 2001. She now splits her time between Tokyo, Japan where she continues to write and do voice work and modeling and Hawaii where she writes for video games and coordinates for Japanese film crews shooting in Hawaii.
